Arrival, dinner and accommodation in a *** hotel in Limone Piemonte.
Departure from Limone Piemonte (1.400 m) - Climb towards the Col de Tende pass where the Via del Sale starts, the Centrale Fort, Cabanaira, Boaria Pass, Rifugio Don Barbera mountain hut, Navette woods, Monesi. Kilometre after kilometre of unpaved military roads with spectacular views, many types of woods and alpine meadows, karst areas and fortifications.
Dinner and accommodation.
Length: 53 km - Elevation 1.800 m (+) and 1.400 m (-)
Departure from Monesi, climb to the Tanarello pass and Monte Saccarello (view of the sea in good weather).
Lunch in the Rifugio La Terza mountain hut (Monesi di Triora).
Descent to the Collardente pass (Napoleon's route), Bassa di Sanson and climb up to the Marta barracks and the Balcone di Marta belvedere (with the largest alpine fortification of the Alpine Wall).
From here the trail goes down the military road to the Colle Melosa or Triora pass to become a paved road to the Ligurian coast. Dinner and accommodation in Sanremo.

Departure for an easy ride on the cycle path from Sanremo to Imperia. Sports and relaxation day with a visit to the former Olive Mill and the Olive Oil Museum of Albenga. The family still produces unfiltered cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil here, and sells all the Ligurian cuisine specialities it produces, using only traditional methods and without any additives or preservatives.
Lunch in a typical inn - return by train to Limone Piemonte. *

The Via del Sale - Ciclovia Alpi del Mediterraneo - is a medium difficulty route suitable for individuals, groups and families with a medium fitness level. E-bikes can also be used on this route to enjoy the scenery to the full with less effort. The Via del Sale Limone/Monesi is open exclusively to bicycles and pedestrians on Tuesdays and Thursdays (subject to change) while it is also used by cars and motorcycles on other days.
Helmet and glasses recommended *(mandatory if you require the services of a cycling guide).
Mountain bike in good condition (tyres and brakes).
Clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
Water bottle, inner tube, pump or quick puncture repair kit.
Type of bike required: front or full mountain bike, e-MTB.
