Business description

A glimpse of the real Stura Valley along mule tracks and little-frequented paths, crossing the many secondary valleys that distinguish the area and which provide excellent starting points for hikes or more or less demanding walks.
Why not try a breathtaking rafting descent or a pleasant ride on horseback or by e-bike... not to mention... so much tradition!

Day 1

Arrival in the Stura Valley in the morning in your own vehicle - leave your car in the carpark (Vallone di Riofreddo) and leave for the trek.
Stage: Hike to the Malinvern (2,122 m) and Paur (2,357 m) lakes - From the Riofreddo Valley.
There are a number of fascinating lakes of glacial origin around the Malinvern mountain hut, suspended over the deep Riofreddo valley. Those further south are Lake Malinvern and Lake Paur, located on an enthralling rocky overhang between the peaks of the same names and the stark Valrossa peaks. An itinerary through wild environments where nature is the undisputed protagonist.

Dinner and accommodation at the Rifugio Malinvern mountain hut.

Day 2

Breakfast at the mountain hut.
Descent on foot to the carpark to get your car.
Transfer to Gaiola in your own car - to a tourist resort.

Some R&R ... and some adrenaline rush with a rafting trip!! *
Option to go horse riding or to rent an e-bike and enjoy an afternoon amidst nature.
Dinner and accommodation in the tourist resort.
* The descent by rubber dinghy (rafting) on the Stura di Demonte river lasts about two/three hours and covers 6/8 km of rapids classified between II and III degree on a scale of 5. All the necessary equipment for the descent is provided (wetsuit, boots, water jacket, helmet and life jacket). You will need to bring a swimsuit, t-shirt and a towel for the hot shower after the descent

Day 3

Breakfast at the tourist resort.
Travel in your own vehicle.
Stage: Hike to Lake San Bernolfo
From the car park on the road just before San Bernolfo, take the dirt road to the Rifugio Alexandris Foches - Laus mountain hut, crossing the bridge over the Corborant river and tackling a short descent to the uphill junction to the right. Follow either the gravel-pebble road or the numerous shortcut paths indicated by small white - red panels (shortcuts are often steep). At the end of the hairpin bends, follow the road for a few hundred metres, passing the mountain hut at 1910 m, to reach the Colletto del Laus - 1950 m, where you can look out over the San Bernolfo Lake - 1.913 m.

Day 4

Breakfast at the mountain hut.
Return to your car on foot.
Transfer to Pietraporzio in your own car.

The day will be dedicated to discovering local traditions…
Visit to a farm and a cheese company, where you can accompany the goats to pasture.
Lunch based on local products in a typical restaurant.
Transfer to Pontebernardo and guided tour of the pasture farming Ecomuseum and the village.
At the Ecomuseum, demonstration on the preparation of goat's milk yogurt.
Arrival at the hotel and option of relaxing at the hotel's small spa.
Typical dinner at the hotel and accommodation.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the beautiful village of Ferrere in your own car.
Stage: Hike to the Lakes of Vens
Ascent to the Lakes of Vens (France)
The Lakes of Vens are located just beyond the Colle del Ferro in the Haute Tinée in the Mercantour national park, in a large grassy basin under the Testa del Ferro (2769 m) and the summit of Las Blancias (2,942 m).
Ascent: About 1,140 m
Length: Approximately 16.7 km
Altitude at start: 1,887 m
Maximum altitude: 2,672 m

Along the trail: lake, pass, mountain hut, summit
The trek ends at the Vens mountain hut (2,380 m) located on a natural hill overlooking the largest lake.
Dinner and accommodation at the mountain hut (France).

Day 6

Breakfast at the mountain hut.
Return to your car on foot.
Typical lunch in a mountain hut in Ferrere.
End of the tour.
