Highlights and tour details

Sentiero Tanaro Path (STA) is a partially cycle-hiking itinerary, marked with the red/green symbol, which goes along a long ridge that crosses the Langa Cebana and then goes up the Upper Valle Tanaro. An internal ridge of Sentiero Tanaro - called Dorsale Mongia - also connects the long ridge of Valle Mongia  from Colle di Prato Rotondo just below the slopes of Monte Mindino, between the municipalities of Garessio and Viola as far as Scagnello, Mombasiglio and Lesegno. This variant also connects the Sentiero Tanaro with the Sentiero Balcone Monregalese through the village of Valcasotto in the municipality of Pamparato and then joins the SBM to Colle della Navonera.
Starting from the Municipality of Garessio, the itinerary intercepts numerous National and International routes, including the main routes within the Marguareis Park, among which the Sentiero Italia, the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, the Via Alpina Rossa and the GtA.
