The feat of the Pirate at the foot of the Black Madonna of Oropa!
On the saddle of your bicycle, you will relive the exciting comeback ride of Marco Pantani, forced to stop for a chain jump with the group launched towards the finishing line. You will pedal on the famous climb, now one of the Pantani Climbs which, starting from the city of Biella, ascends to reach the Sanctuary of Oropa for 13 km alternating rideable and more demanding sections.
You can discover other areas of Biella: based on your training and desire, we can suggest different routes of different mileage, altitude difference and duration.
Schedule
Day 1
Arrive late morning by own means to Biella, check-in to hotel with a large car park and a beautiful swimming pool. Our guide will welcome you for a briefing on the programme, to recommend a restaurant for lunch and show you possible routes according to your tastes and fitness level. The afternoon will be dedicated to the discovery of the Oasi Zegna nature park and of the scenic Panoramica Zegna road that connects Trivero to Bielmonte with view of Monte Rosa and the Po Valley at your feet before descending into the Cervo Valley and finally to Biella...
Return to hotel for dinner and well-earned rest.
Day 2
After breakfast, the Salita Pantani (Pantani Climb) awaits to reach Oropa, the highest Marian Sanctuary of the Alps, at the foot of Monte Mucrone. Free time to rest after the climb, for any guided tour (see "Options") of the Sanctuary, of the votive offering galleries, of the Royal Savoy apartments, of the Treasure Museum. You will lunch in one of the restaurants close to the Sanctuary and resume pedalling along the scenic road Il Tracciolino, reaching first the Sanctuary of Graglia and then your hotel. Moment of relax before the visit and tasting of two outstanding products of Biella, Menabrea Beer and Botalla cheeses; tour of the historical museum and of the new Experience wing and finally a tasting of cheeses and beers. Dinner not included in one of the restaurants of Biella. Return to hotel and overnight accommodation.

Day 3
After breakfast, meet at the departure point of the funicular of Biella to reach and discover the most historic part of the city, Biella Piazzo. Together with your Guide, walking along the arcades and along the streets of the village, you will discover ancient buildings and famous families of Biella which have made the history of the city and of Italy of the Risorgimento. After lunch in a restaurant under the medieval arcades or in the city, you can walk back down or use the funicular for the return journey. End of package.
