An itinerary of 320 km that connects the hills of Monferrato to the Sanctuary of Oropa in the Biella area. Eight stages, all with departures and arrivals from areas served by the railway line allowing you to take advantage of the train + bike service.
In the seventh stage after the first flat section, which is partially on dirt roads (approx. 5 km) we reach Cavaglià. From here the road begins to climb up to the Castle of Roppolo, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the moraine amphitheater of Ivrea and of the Lake Viverone.
From here the path is a continuous uphill and downhill along the eastern slopes of the Serra di Ivrea. In order passing through Dorzano, Salussola, Cerrione, Vermogno and Mongrando. Tre Cerrione and Mongrando skirts the Parco Naturale della Bessa, “The Bessa’s Natural park” - a gold deposit exploited since Roman times.
From Mongrando you soon reach Biella. In the historical village of the city, il Piazzo, visit Palazzo La Marmora with its winter garden. Near Biella, in Vigliano Biellese, you can visit the Castle of Montecavallo, Villa Era and Villa La Malpenga along a ring route of 15.8 km.
