Highlights and tour details
The route of the Via Francigena Morenico-Canavesana, between the Valle d’Aosta part and the Biella-Vercelli part, is about 40 km long and crosses the territories of 10 Municipalities: along the way you will pass through a beautiful section of the Moraine Amphitheatre of Ivrea created by the retreat of the Balteo Glacier, one of the best preserved geological conformations of glacial origin in the world, dotted with lakes and characterized by the long outline of the Serra, a 25 km long moraine ridge.
