Highlights and tour details

From the Sanctuary of Valmala we take the asphalt road downhill and turn right onto the slightly uphill one next to the fountain. We continue until we reach a hairpin bend, where we go straight on and leave the road on the right that leads to Colle della Ciabra, connection with the "strada dei cannoni" road and Valle Maira. We reach Pian Pietro, passing by the bar and the camper van area. We ignore the junction for Lemma and go in the direction of Venasca until we reach Pian Madama. At the end of the plateau we turn left following the signs for Rolfa. The road narrows, passes by a group of houses and crosses a clearing with a beautiful view of Monviso. We are in a beautiful birch wood that accompanies us until we come to a dirt road. From here we go left and take the main road that leads us to the hamlet of Rolfa. After the playground and the fountain, we turn left and go down towards S. Anna and Venasca. We descend into the woods, cross the asphalt road and then the path again. We cross the village of Miceli and return to the asphalt road. We take a dirt road on the left that takes us to a beautiful meadow that hosts the festival of S. Anna every year. We go up to the church and go down on the right, descending quickly in the woods to the village of Ponza. From here we go left and again downhill to the first houses of Venasca. We pass by the fire station and descend to the main square of the village.
