At the crossroads with route 160-161 in the locality of Collina Magra, turn right and continue on a dirt road. After about 100 m downhill, follow the path on the right, lined with oak trees and Turkey oaks, which continues on a curve to the right for 50 m, and then always downhill for about 80 m. At this point you arrive at a fork with the indication of path 8 (province of Asti). Follow the path on the right until you skirt a house with number 84 on the gate. Keep skirting the wall of this house until you reach number 83. Follow the dirt road that skirts vineyards on the right and an 80 m long rosemary hedge on the left; in the next stretch the road overlooks a wide are of vineyards and fields where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama. On the left you can see Valle Frascherina and the houses of the town of Tonengo, with the villages of Perello, Boi and Madonna Nera, and the village of Masio on the high ground with the Romanesque church of San Giorgio. Still on the high ground, but looking in front of you, there is the long, white farmhouse of Marmorito, while if you look towards 10 o'clock you can see the bell tower of the church of Cocconato in the distance. Continuing another 50 m, on the right we find the Panseglio farmhouse (holiday farm). Carrying on, the route goes downhill on a dirt road until the junction to Cascina Striglia, which can be seen at 50 m on the left; you continue on the dirt road that now becomes more uneven for a stretch of 70 m and you reach Cascina Bertacca by walking through the vineyards; passing behind the farmhouse, turn right on the dirt road and go downhill for another 80 m. At this point the road turns left in front of the votive shrine of San Grato and continues among trees downhill but with a gentler slope until the small bridge of Rio Rocca Vecchia; continue for another 90 m and you reach the crossroads with the provincial road of Campolungo. Continue on an asphalt road in a south-easterly direction, first along the valley floor and then up the slope with two particularly steep hairpin bends (often frozen in winter) to loc. C.na Luca Vallana where there is the Superga-Vezzolano-Crea (SVC) itinerary intersection.
