As an alternative to the main section, it is possible to reach Berzano San Pietro along a shorter but less satisfying route, above all from a cultural point of view. Walk in a southerly direction towards Berzano San Pietro on a provincial road; at the height of Strada Baudina, turn left and follow it, first on flat ground and then uphill. The road becomes a dirt road. You walk it along the crest path until you reach Cascina Baudina. Now the road becomes paved again and with a series of ups and downs you reach the area of San Giovanni, where you reconnect to the main route.
