Description

Three-day trek with an expert hiking guide along the Wild Trails of Piemonte and Aosta Valley, from the Dora Baltea Canavesana to Chiusella Valley.

The itinerary spans a great variety of environments: from the historic sites of Settimo Vittone, on the Via Francigena, including the medieval Baptistery of San Lorenzo, to the legendary vineyards of Nebbiolo di Carema (with their imposing system of terraces and pedestrian paths), up to the typical alpine settlements (Trovinasse, Chiaverina), the mountain pastures and to the high altitude passes.


Schedule

Day 1

Meeting in Settimo Vittone with the guide. Cornaley - Trovinasse - Torre Daniele -Cesnola-Cornaley hike; Typical dinner at the “Merenda Sinoira” restaurant in Cornaley di Settimo Vittone and overnight stay in the 4-star hotel Il Falco and La Volpe in Cornaley

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel Il falco e la Volpe; walk from Cornaley-Baptistery of San Lorenzo to Settimo Vittone (visit included); transfer by hybrid minibus to Scalaro; Scalaro - Rifugio Chiaromonte on foot; Packed dinner at the refuge and overnight stay at Rifugio Chiaromonte (not managed)

Day 3

breakfast at Rifugio Chiaromonte; Rifugio Chiaromonte-Traversella on foot; transfer by hybrid minibus from Traversella to Settimo Vittone, or continue trekking towards Piamprato and Champorcher
