Description
Arrival in Marmora and departure for the tour of its villages, following the footsteps of Giors Boneto, an itinerant painter born in Paesana, in the Po Valley, who created many religious murals in bright colours on the houses and pillars in the villages. This itinerary will allow the visitor to slowly enter the daily life of the various Alpine villages and feel part of the community.
The tour will end with a dinner in an inn to savour traditional Piedmontese-Occitan dishes.
Schedule
Day 1
We set off from the Finello hamlet for Reinero, making a short detour to the Parrocchia area. We return down to Reinero then climb again to reach the hamlets of Arvaglia, Urzio and Tolosano. On a gentle descent we return to our starting spot, skirting the villages of Torello, Garino and Arata One last detour to the Cappella di San Sebastiano before returning to the hamlet of Finello. Piedmontese-Occitan dinner: a great way to end the day!
