Highlights and tour details

From Trino Via Principato di Lucedio, go through the ghost village of Leri with the country house of Cavour; go alongside the Leri Power Station until reaching Crescentino to finally return to Trino, along the Po.

Points of interest

Depart from the center of Trino Vercellese; using  the secondary road go along Bosco della Partecipanza, until Principato di Lucedio,  an Abbey of great historical and artistic interest well worth visiting. From here, continue on the secondary road until you cross Statale delle Grange. Then turn left and follow Canale Cavour in the direction of Lamporo. Before entering the village, turn left and continue until San Genuario,  a hamlet of Crescentino ,  an ancient medieval village with characteristic alleys and an ancient castle.  After visiting the hamlet, head towards Crescentino, go through the village and head for the river Po. Just before the bridge on the Po, turn left onto a secondary road and  go along the river, then take a left and continue towards Fontanetto Po. On the right before entering the village is the admirable Riseria San Giovanni with its mill of the same name, a splendid example of industrial archeology dating back to 1465 and still in perfect use. Continue towards the village of Fontanetto Po, go through it and continue until Palazzolo Vercellese. From there continue on Via Torino until you get back to the starting point in Trino Vercellese.
